Cookery
Join us in our professional teaching kitchen to explore the varied and creative practical skill of cooking. Whether you would like to learn new creative skills or to investigate the possibility of a new food-based career, MAE Community Learning courses can provide you with a stepping stone to progress.
Languages
Open a world of opportunities and make new friends with one of our language courses. We offer a variety of levels to suit those beginning their language learning journey, to those with more experience and fluency. To offer flexibility we deliver language courses at both of our centres as well as online to cater for those who may want to learn when travelling or abroad in holiday homes.
Art and Design
We offer a wide range of Art and Design courses to suit all abilities and interests. Specialist tutors deliver courses such as calligraphy, mixed media, printmaking, life drawing, water colour to name but a few. We also offer a BTEC level 2 in Art and Design Skills for those wishing to follow an accredited course.
Our professional tutors will develop your skills and work with you to provide a programme of study to inspire and develop both your technical ability and individual style.
As well as longer, general art courses we offer specialist workshops, short courses, opportunities to exhibit and participation in enrichment activities throughout the year.

Horticulture and Floristry
Whether you would like to learn new creative skills or investigate the possibility of a new floristry or Horticulture based career, MAE Community Learning courses can provide you with a stepping stone to progress. We offer a wide range of floristry courses and offer outreach horticulture classes across Medway.
Jewellery making
Learn to create unique jewellery with our tutor, who is an accomplished practising metalsmith and jewellery designer.
Our jewellery design and making mixed ability courses are suitable for all, beginners to those with more experience.
You will learn skills from developing an initial concept, soldering, stone setting and creating textures from metal to create professional finished pieces.
Music

Our fashion studio is equipped with up to date sewing machines, over-lockers and cover stitch machines, providing a professional learning environment supported by our talented team of tutors.

Stained glass and Glass Art
Our stained-glass and glass art mixed ability classes will help you to develop the skills needed to make create amazing designs with the medium of glass.
The stained-glass classes will cover the traditional techniques to cut, lead, solder, connect, fuse glass and create unique projects.
The glass art classes will cover smaller projects using pre-cut glass shapes to develop unique decorative pieces.
Woodwork
Learn traditional woodworking skills in our Rochester workshop.
Our woodwork courses are suitable for all abilities with specialist classes in wood carving and project design.

You will examine both the artists and concepts behind traditional and contemporary art and learn what influences movements and trends in the visual arts field.
