Learn a language

We offer a range of language courses at different levels. Whether you wish to learn the basics for your holiday or have a conversation with a native speaker, we have a programme for you.

All our courses cover speaking, writing and listening skills as well as an insight into the culture and traditions of the region. You can study at a range of levels from 1 to 5 in French and 1 to 3 in Italian or Spanish. 

Our language courses can open up a world of new friends and opportunities.

Language courses


French

We offer a range of courses in French.

Our conversation advanced is perfect if you can communicate confidently in a wide range of everyday situations including making arrangements, describing activities in all tenses, as well as answering general enquiries.

You may prefer to learn to exchange basic introductions in our stage 1 module.

Italian

We offer Italian in stage 1 and level 1.

Perfect if you're new to Italian and want to learn some conversational skills and find your way around when you're on holiday.

Japanese

We offer Japanese as part of our e-learning package.

Spanish

We offer stages 1 to 3 in Spanish.

Learn to say hello and goodbye, answer questions and order a drink with our stage 1 course.

If you already have some knowledge of the Spanish language you may want to start stage 2 or 3.

Stages and levels


Stage 1 - module 1

Stage 1 - module 1 is for you if you're a beginner with no previous knowledge of the language except for a few words or phrases.

Stage 1 - module 2

Stage 1 - module 2 is for you if you have not studied the language for a while and would like a recap before progressing on to level 2.

Stage 2

Stage 2 is for you if you can communicate in a limited range of everyday situations.

For example, shopping, in a café, asking for directions or booking a holiday.

Stage 3

Stage 3 is for you if you have enough understanding of grammar and vocabulary to talk about:

  • daily routines
  • leisure activities
  • future and past events
  • personal preferences and plans.

Stage 4

Stage 4 is for you if you have a higher level of vocabulary and grammar, including past, future and perfect tense forms to extend communication and understand in a wide variety of situations.

Stage 5 - lower tier

Stage 5 - lower tier is for you if you're confident using all forms of grammar including subjunctive and conditionals and have a wide range of vocabulary to communicate with a high level of fluency.

Stage 5 - higher tier

Stage 5 - higher tier is for you if you can use the language to speak, read and write with a high degree of fluency and accuracy.

These classes will be held in the target language only.



My course provided me with a good mix of conversation, new vocabulary and grammar, as well as French culture.
